Ruth Alice Howarth
Brighton Township
Ruth Alice Howarth, 85, of Brighton Township passed away Wednesday December 6 in her home. She was born May 25, 1932 in New Galilee and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Forsythe Duncan. Ruth had lived in Brighton Township for the past 58 years, was a retired employee of K-Mart in Rochester and was a member of the Bridgewater Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward C. Howarth, Jr. in 1999 and siblings, Mabel Inman, Jim Duncan and Faye Conner. Surviving are her children Edward A. Howarth, Brighton Township, Jeffrey F. (Becky) Howarth, Fryburg, PA, Micheal J. (Tammy Howarth, New Galilee, Victoria (James) Bango, Brighton Township, and Bruce (Molly) Howarth, Brighton Township, 13 grandchildren, , 11 great-grandchildren, brother, Reed Duncan, sisters, Helen Burke, Carol Walters, Margaret McKinney and Melanie Hirt. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver where a funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 1 PM by her Pastor Dr. William Silver. Burial will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
