Obituary

Samuel B. Hassick, age 50, of South Heights, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Heritage Valley Beaver, Brighton Twp. Born March 27, 1966, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Samuel and Audrey (Bourg) Hassick. Cooking being his passion, he was a former Chef for the Fatigati’s, as well as the Hilton Hotel.He is survived by his wife of 22 years; Cathy Jo (Szymoniak) Hassick, South Heights; two sons; Jaden and Justin Hassick, South Heights; his mother in law; Catherine Sellman and husband Corey; his Father in law Dennis Szymoniak and wife Sue. He is also survived by 4 Brothers in law; Buzzy Szymoniak and wife Renee; David, Jeffrey and Shawn Szymoniak; one Sister in law; Jessica McFadden, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Rigel Hassick (1995).Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the GABAUER-MATTER AMBRIDGE FUNERAL HOME 1133 Church St. Ambridge, PA 15003 www.gabauermatterfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will he held on Tuesday, at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Patti Elliott officiating. A private interment will follow.If desired, contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
