Sarann Bryan Sloss

Sarann Bryan Sloss, 93, of Hopkinsville, TN, formerly of Beaver, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at her home. A native of Guthrie, KY, she was born April 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Edward Wallace and Nancy Campbell Pendleton Bryan.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville, KY. Mrs. Sloss had served as secretary to the President at the old Bethel College for Women. She had been a member of P.E.O., Beaver Woman’s Club, Southern Club of Beaver, PA, Women’s Auxiliary of Beaver County Medical Society, First Presbyterian Church of Beaver, PA, and Hodge Band at First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sara Wrenn (Richard) of Breckenridge, CO and Nancy Roberts (John) of Old Hickory, TN; three grandchildren; Alex Ewing, Katie Vincent (Ryan), and Ashley Roberts; and two great grandchildren, River Vincent and Nora Vincent. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Sloss in July 1987.Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, TN with Rev. Nathan C. Brown and Wallace Bryan officiating.

The committal service was at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the chapel of the mausoleum at the Beaver Cemetery with Rev. Clark Sawyer officiating, followed by burial.
