Obituary
Thelma M. (Setting) Andreas, 72, a resident of Beaver Falls her entire life, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
Born September 29, 1947, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty (Klear) Setting. She loved her job and colleagues at Macy’s Department Store working in various cosmetic departments. She also owned and operated a Beauty Salon for many years. She loved and cared for all of her many clients with many becoming dear friends. She had a passion for giving and making people smile and feel better about themselves. She not only made them more beautiful on the outside, she made them feel more beautiful on the inside. She was warm and welcoming to all and will be dearly missed.
Her strong will to live, unwavering faith and trust in the Lord gave her strength and peace as she fiercely battled against her many afflictions. She showed us how to live and how to pass with grace and dignity.
She was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by her long-time companion, Jimmy Topper. She was a very loving and devoted Mother of two sons, Sean (Carrie) Andreas and Seth Andreas. She was the adored Grammie of four grandsons, Kaiden Andreas, Kobe Andreas, Gabriel Andreas and Christian Andreas. She was the loving and loyal sister of Jo Anne Setting and Terri (Setting) Marshall (Sam Stanchak). She was blessed with two nephews, Bradley (Daniela) Marshall and Ryan (Rebecca) Marshall, one great nephew, Joseph Marshall, three great nieces, Averi Marshall, Gianna Marshall and Addison Marshall along with many other first, second and third cousins and many more family members. Thelma was also blessed with so many dear friends that wrapped her in a blanket of love and support throughout her entire life but especially in her last days when she needed them the most.
A very special thank you to Lynne Youngdahl, Private Hospice Nurse and Gateway Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort they provided to our dear Thelma. Her family is forever grateful for helping to grant her wish of passing peacefully at home surrounded by family. The last few weeks of her life provided many wonderful moments that are now cherished memories.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Friday, March 6 for viewings from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm in the Gabauer-Lutton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 117 Blackhawk Rd, Chippewa Twp., www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com., and Saturday from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30am. The service will be conducted by Pastor Sam DeMarco of New Brighton Christian Assembly. Pastor Sam and all of the members of New Brighton Christian Assembly brought such joy to Thelma and elevated her spiritual journey with God along with giving her a Church Family where she felt so warm, welcomed and loved by all.
Interment to follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
Thelma was passionate about the Lord and helping others in need and asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to New Brighton Christian Assembly (www.visitnbca.com) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org) to help end childhood cancers.

I have so many memories from childhood to adulthood. She was my best friend and an awesome sister. I will miss her dearly and all the fun and crazy things we did together. Like going to garrison days and buying one more country thing that would look good in our yard and on our porches. I will always keep you deep in my heart while sitting outside watching for my little white butterflies to let me know you and mom are watching over me. Until we meet again in heaven my sweet sweet sister. I love you

Thelma, God’s way’s are sometime mysterious. We do not understand the pain and loss you went through, but we trust and have faith that GOD’S way is perfect. I will miss our political morning talk, and runs to the grocery store. I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful Nephews and Great Nephews you have given me. I promised you I would keep your memory alive and watch over each and everyone of them. I know that if you could come back you wouldn’t, who would want to leave PARADISE where the sun NEVER sets. “WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SERVANT WELL DONE” I LOVE YOU SIS,JOSIE
