Obituary

William R. Palmer, 88, of Bridgewater, passed away on September 9, 2013 with his family at his side. A‚ He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ilda Graham Palmer. A‚ Son of the late Leo Palmer and Emma Torrence Palmer. Beloved father of Margaret (Martin) Sheerbaum of Wexford, and Carol (Steven) Balderson of Beaver. Grandfather of Charles ( Kristy) Scheerbaum of Stubenville, OH, A‚ Diana (Richard) Beblo of Dayton, OH, A‚ William Scheerbaum of Westview, and Tiffany (Bill) Bruce of Freedom.

A‚ Surviving are 2 great-grandsons Jonathan and Conner Bruce. A‚ A‚ Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A‚ William is the last of 4 siblings. Retired from Pittsburgh Crucible Steel Company after 37 yrs of service. William served in the US Navy and was a proud WWII veteran. William is a member of the 7 Oaks Country Club Member, active in the Bridgewater Local government, past commander of Bridgewater American Legion Post 721, Life member of the Elks in Rochester Lodge 283 for 63 years. Past member of Bridgewater VFD. Longtime member of Beaver Valley retired mens golf league. Member of the Beaver County Veterans Bridge Memorial Committee. A‚ 

Friends were received Thursday 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Todd Funeral Home, 340 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009 where a funeral service was held Friday 11:00 AM with Pastor Harriett Hutton officiating. Interment followed in Beaver Cemetery with Military honors by Beaver County Special Unit.
